Hydrotherapy
The use of water for therapeutic aims is called hydrotherapy. Water is used in the different forms, of various temperatures and under different pressure for therapeutic treatments as well as preventive ones (SPA). In water treatments the patient is affected by thermal, hydrostatic and mechanical factors. Those procedures allows for muscle relaxation, tissue congestion, increased outflow of lymph and venous blood supply to heart.
Mainly applied to:
- in the initial stages of arterial hypertension,
- nervous hyperexcitability,
- migraine,
- insomnia,
- peripheral circulation disorders,
- as additional treatment in diseases with muscle hypertension.
